Visiting A National Rural Landscape is video work that investigates the contrast between rural and urban national landscapes. With Swedish landscape in focus the juxtaposition of city and countryside shows in the embarrassment of singing a solely common people’s party song. The singer performs the song with a Stockholm dialect although the song itself is based in the traditional rural landscape of Dalarna, with beautiful lakes and forests, in Sweden.
